Ackb is sweet to me
With that nice affirmation, I decided to go ahead and post the sermon early. I knew if I waited until tomorrow I wouldn’t remember to do it.
Good night.
Dad is out of the ICU, still in the same hospital. When he’s done there, he’ll transfer to a rehabilitation hospital for a week or two of intensive physical and occupational therapy.
Meanwhile, I’ve been forgetting stuff on my to-do list and failing to get back to people in a timely way.
Hoping to catch up some tomorrow. Wish me luck.
Today’s schedule involved two facility tours for physical therapy places where my Dad might go after he breaks out of the hospital. I also stopped in to see him. I dressed like a grown up in order to have my questions taken seriously. It worked. Both of the nurses who gave my tours thought I might be a medical professional, and I almost got the staff discount at hospital cafeteria.

I guess I forgot to mention that my Dad is in the hospital. He checked into the community hospital near him on Friday of last week. He got moved to the university hospital near me on Sunday night. Illnesses shared by our whole household
Different illness for my Dad when I can’t go check on him. (Youngest brother went yesterday. Mister Tough Grandpa insists he’s going out tomorrow for “chores.”)

I think the Superbowl will be the perfect opportunity to have something playing on television that I can half-ignore while reading 3 chapters on evidence-based treatments for depression. Most of the time, I wouldn’t suggest to me that I should have distractions during homework, but I think it’s necessary in this case.
The kids woke up at 5 this morning, coughing and cranky. Thanks to the CD from their class, they are now clapping and banging toys together with Ondiru (and coughing) while I hide in the kitchen with my breakfast.
