I realized recently that my dinosaur hobby is actually a strong statement of support for the sciences.  I believe in evolution.  I believe in science education and government-supported scientific research.  I have hope that the dinosaur news feature on this blog will grow as a science-positive mood refreshes the country.

Here’s a math graduate student musing on the endothermic/ ectothermic debate.  With the cold weather, I was just thinking about this very topic.  OK, I started out by thinking of the Far Side comic where the dinosaurs laugh at the furry creature just as the snow begins to fell, ending the Mesozoic era, but it LED to thinking about science.
